Greetings Card Set 2 - Tres Jolie Kits

Hi all,

Today I'm sharing another set of cards created with the Cards Tags and More kit!

These cards are a little bit more modern and bold compared to the shabby chic set I made at the beginning of the month. I hope you like them!

Here is each card close up.

Here is a short process on how they were put together.

I started with the Card blank for my base.

Now for all the layers, each photo shows you each layer in order with the measurements.

Distress all edges

Layer and stick all pieces on the card base in order of size, largest to smallest.

Add  a strip of gems down one side

And a group of flowers in the corner.

Lastly emboss the chipboard word greeting with black embossing powder and glue in place on the card.

The Maze layout for Tres Jolie Kits

I'm back today with my last layout created with the November kit from Tres Jolie Kits featuring the lovely Dreamland papers from AB Studios.
On this layout I've used the papers to help create my flower clusters to frame the photo.
Here's my layout....

I used a torn panel from a floral patterned paper and added it over the neutral background paper, positioning it so the floral cluster comes out rom behind my photo.

I cannot do straight edges but you have probably noticed that by now...
My Mum is horrified when she sees I have torn my paper up again!

I balanced the design of the layout by creating my embellishment flower cluster on the opposite side of the photo.

I added a couple of embellishments to the floral design paper to 'lift' the design up off the page.

The tags are all distressed and layered up to look like they are slotted in behind the photo. Dont be frightened to really shabby them up and rip them a bit, they really look like they have been used and pulled in and out from behind the photo a lot!!

I added the chipboard keys to my clusters. These I left in their raw state as I felt the rustic look suited my layout.

Kit contents used:

AB Studio Dreamland paper collection
49 & Market Vintage Shades - Yellow
49 & Market Seaside Blooms – Natural Blush
49 & Market Blossom Blooms – Linen
Creative Embellishments Chipboard - Keys

Rustic layout for Tres Jolie Kits

Today I'm sharing a layout with you made with the November scrapbook kit from Tres Jolie Kits featuring papers from AB Studio!
I loved these papers and wanted to combine a couple of them together to contrast each other.
Here's what I came up with....

I tore a panel out from the floral detail paper which I have layered on top of the dark background paper.

Using the 'rule of three' I created the circle details across the layout combining the cogs in the patterned paper with the woven wreath embellishment.

I loved the flowers in the kit this month, soft neutral colours mixed in with the seeded heads and unusual leaves. I incorporated the twisted wire pieces as well into my flower clusters.

I popped flowers underneath and on top of the woven wreath to create a more natural look rather then a 'plonked' on look.

I did some stencilling on the background of the dark paper with a black texture paste. I liked this look behind the layered tags.

I popped in some of the cogs to match the colours/blues in the photo and to keep the cog theme going throughout the layout.

Kit contents used:

AB Studios Dreamland paper collection
49 & Market Vintage Shades - Yellow
49 & Market Seaside Blooms – Natural Blush
49 & Market Blossom Blooms – Linen
Creative Embellishments Chipboard - Feathers
AB Studio – Stencil ID 110
Tres Jolie – Patina Metal Gears

Shabby Chic Greetings Cards...

Hello all,

This month I had the card kit from Tres Jolie Kits to play with.... I am not a regular card maker but I have to say I really enjoyed creating these!
I have made two sets of cards, the second I will show you later in the month.
The card kit features Prima Amelia Rose, beautiful papers, with embellishments from Prima, 49 & Market, Darice and Creative Embellishments.

Here are some photos of the cards

Now I will show a step by step process for creating them.

Use the white blank cards from the Card kit...…

I chose 4 different patterned papers from the Amelia Rose paper pad.
I trimmed the first paper to fit the front of the card making it very slightly smaller then the card size.

Each paper layer after that I made lightly  smaller then the previous to create the different layers.

I distressed all the edges and the final layer I tore into to really distress it!

Stick the first two layers onto the front of the card

And the third....

The fourth layer I wrapped the seam binding around it length ways and tied into a bow...….

….and then glue it on top of the other layers.

I wanted to create a  decoupage effect with some fussy cutting from the papers. I cut four pieces of similar  flower clusters from the floral paper.

With my starting point in place with my chosen main flower I then started adding my decoupage layers next to it, with the use of tiny small foam pads.

If you are layering up amongst flowers you may need to double pads up at one end to get the piece to sit flat.

I then added the next decoupage layer in order of size on top of the first.....

I added a third layer.....

At this point I also started to add more small flowers and the leaves.

The last paper decoupage layer was added...

...along with another small flower and leaf.

I added  a couple of single fussy cut flowers to the background before adding my title greeting.

The chipboard titles were embossed with white embossing powder.

Here are the products used on these cards

* Prima Amelia Rose A4 paper pad
* 49 & Market Garden Seeds Watermelon
* Creative embellishments chipboard - Sentimental Words
* Darice Cards & Envelopes
* Tres Jolie Seam Binding

And some close ups...…
