November SGC challenge at Swirlydoos

Hi All,

This is a layout for the Swirly Girl Challenge (SGC) over at Swirlydoos this month.

The theme was 'Slipcovers'. My interpretation of the 'slipcover' is my Jillibean Soup 12x12 placemat 'white circles', which went over my background paper. I treated it with Distress Ink Frayed Burlap and Perfect Pearls mist Blue Smoke.
I used doilies in white and blue, hessian, lace and twine with a piece of Dusty Attic vine which had some 'snow effect' stuff on it. ( I don't actually know the name of this LOL ! - but it looks like glue when you put it on and then you heat it with a heat gun and it turns into snow...voila !!) The white berries and the snowflake laser cut outs are from AnnaMarie Designs, some I left plain and a couple I painted over with Art Quest Mica colour Shabby Blue. My wooden stars also had the 'snow effect' . My flowers are Petaloo Royal Blue sugared blooms and the rest are from the Swirlydoos store.

Here are some close ups of the flowers and embellishments.
You can see the 'snow' effect on the Dusty attic chippy vine and stars better in these photos.

I enjoyed this layout so much, using my favourite colour combo and playing with some mixed media products. Also doing a layout of my old horse was a pleasure and in achieving the wintery feel I hope !

Thanks for stopping by,
Ginny    :)
