**Swirlydoos July Kit Moments Captured - Part 2**

Hello Again,

I'm here with the second part of my reveal for the July 'Moments Captured' kit at Swirlydoos Scrapbook kit club. This beautiful kit features papers from Kaisercraft StoryBook and Pion Papers Mister Tom's Treasures. The colour palette of this kit is shades of Teal mixed in with browns, beiges and grey.

Masculine Layout

In my last reveal I shared with you some 'Swirly' flowery layouts but today I want to show you how the kit also works for masculine layouts too!

I used Kaisercraft Storybook papers and Kraft doily from the Main Kit.
I used Kaisercraft Collectables, Prima Brads & Petaloo Butterflies from the Embellishment Add On.
I used the String from the Petaloo flowers from the Flower Add On.
I used the stencil and FolkArt Grey paint from the Project Kit Add On.
I used the Art Alchemy Blue Gold paint & Walnut Stain Distress Stain from the Mediums Add On.
I used the Die of the Month.

The photo is layered up with lots of the ephemera from the Collectables set. Everything is distressed and inked with Distress Ink Frayed Burlap. I used Finnabair Graphite texture paste through the stencil and splattered the Distress stain, Folk Art Paint and the Art alchemy paint on my background.

Here's the close up's

OTP - Memo Board

Next up is an Off The Page Project (OTP).
We had a piece of plywood in the Mediums kit Add On and I decided to make mine into a blackboard Memo Board. I used a piece of 12x12 Chalkboard Paper to cover my board but equally you could paint the plywood with Blackboard paint.

I have done a Snapguide tutorial to go with this project showing you how I created this.
You can find the direct link here ....... https://snapguide.com/guides/make-altered-blackboard-wswirlydoos-july-kit/#published

Here are some close up's

Card

Lastly I have made a card using up some left over pieces from the Main Kit and the Add On kits.
I used the Pion Papers for this.

There is a Snapguide tutorial for this card showing you how I made it. The direct link for the card is here   .....  https://snapguide.com/guides/make-a-card-with-july-2016-moments-captured-kit/#published

And as always a couple of close up's

Round Robin at Swirlydoos

Happy Sunday!

Good evening, I hope you've all had a lovely Sunday, mine has been productive and Im happy with all the jobs I have got done today! I have even got 2 layouts done today!
This is the first one, my layout for Swirlydoos kit club Round Robin challenge for Team 2 Week 3.
I had the pleasure of following fellow Swirly girls Cheryl and Andie, to create my lift of their layouts.
Here it is,

This months Round Robin is all about Mother and daughters as its Mothers day in the USA this month. We then also had to try include bling, distressing, spring colours and loads of flowers! Also to use some of our beloved stashed Swirlydoos goodies!

This photo is me and my Mum Christmas 2013, when my Mum opened her Christmas pressie that I had made her - a Kaisercraft drawer set. She loved it! :)

So all my papers are from previous Swirlydoos kits, the background paper being a Kaisercraft paper,
In fact everything is from previous Swirly kits apart from the pink paper roses and the mixed media.

I used a Prima stencil and texture paste on the backround with Tattered Angels mist Creme de Rouge and Prima Color Bloom Glistening Waves,

I used a Martha Stewart punch for the decorative border.

My journaling is on the tag slipped behind the photo.

I used Liquid Pearls Petal Pink  on the Bobuny laser cut butterfly.

My Creative Embellishments chippies I covered with a Lindy's pink embossing powder and then highlighted with a Teal 3d paint.

My edges were very lightly distressed and then inked with Distress Ink Walnut Stain.

I found these pretty pearls set on wire in my stash and thought they were perfect for the bling.

Don't forget to stop by the Swirlydoos forum to find out more!

Thanks for stopping by,

Ginny  :)

Round Robin

Hey all !

Today I'm sharing my entry for our Round Robin challenge over at Swirlydoos kit club.  I am on Team 4 and doing Week 3. This is a fun monthly challenge joining all us ladies from around the globe into sharing our scrapbook pages and doing a 'lift' of the person's  layout before us. We normally have 4 members on a team so we each have a week to do our layout before 'deadline Monday'. Each month there is a theme and then there are 'twists' to follow as well.

This month was all about 'Spring ' -  and altering something on our layouts, anything from the photo or an embellishment, anything ! Twists, pastel colours, overload of flowers, Swirlydoos products, using chippie, metals, bling.
So here it is...

This month on my team were Andie and Barbara and they created two amazing layouts for me to follow. Follow this link to go see http://www.swirlydoos.com/forums/topic/april-2016-round-robin-sign-ups/  the layouts they created and the other teams work too.

Everything on this page except the metal buttons, one flower and the background cardstock, is from previous Swirlydoos kits. I used  a Prima Royal Menagerie for my top paper and a Prima Debuante paper for my middle layer. All the papers heavily distressed and randomly punched.
I used some texture paste through a Prima mask on my background and blended a pink and red Prima Water Soluble Oil Pastels with a water pen around my photo and flower cluster. We had these Oil Pastels in a previous Swirlydoos kit too.
The main thing that has followed through our 'lifts' on Team 4 is that Andie started off by fussy cutting her photo, a feature that Barbara and myself have followed. This took some doing I can tell you, chopping up my precious photo but I have to say I love the end result and Holly looks like she is sitting amongst those flowers !
My chipboard I altered with Stampendous Frantage Aged Rose embossing enamel.
My metal button I washed with the red Oil Pastel to give it a slightly different look.
I copied the bottle and fussy cut clock and 'timeless' word from Barbara's layout.

So here are the all important close up's.....

I really love this layout, I hope you do too !

Mosiac Canvas

Hi all,

Today I have a canvas to share with you altered with Tim Holtz Distress Paper Mosaic kit. This was a Technique kit add-on from Swirlydoos kit club back in January.
This was so much fun to do. I did this project over a few days as you have to leave each stage to dry naturally on its own. But the effect is brilliant and the paper mosaic really does look like china /porcelain pieces in the finished project. The Mosaic kit includes the Grout, to cover a canvas, the glue, to stick the paper on,  and a Glaze to apply over the paper pieces to finish.

I used the Prima Menagerie and the 7 Dots Studio papers from the Main January Swirlydoos kit to go with this photo of my daughter, I thought these matched really well.

These are the beautiful Prima flowers 'Royal Menagerie- Elizabeth' #583309 from the add-on kit.

The Dusty Attic chipboard 'Vintage frame' - DA0254C was embossed with Stampendous Detail white embossing powder.

I added some Dusty Attic chipboard Vine Corner #2, also covered with the white embossing powder.

The Prima Shabby Chic Treasures Heart Balloons #892562 and the white wooden hearts from the  Salvage District Wooden icon set, were from the February Swirlydoos kit.

I added a Prima 'Garden Fable- Native' #580797 butterfly to my cluster.

The smaller flowers are Petaloo 'Penny Lane - Mini Daisy Petites - Antique Mauve #1839-070

The deep red small flowers are Petaloo 'Penny Lane - Forgetmenots' - Antique Rose #1837-059

I put the lace from the Technique kit around the edge of the canvas and then wrapped a pink ribbon on top of the lace.

Thank you for stopping by today,

Ginny  :)
